September/October 2009
The theme for this issue: ‘Organics: authentic or sell-out?’ presents a lively challenge to keep producers, retailers and consumers on their toes, and a celebration of all those hard-working, truly authentic organic producers out there.
In keeping with the Soil & Health Association’s maxim ‘Healthy Soil, Healthy Food, Healthy People’, the Association is holding an appeal in September on food safety issues. Money raised will go towards campaigning and education by the spokesperson, staff and volunteers to promote nutrient-rich, living organic food, to campaign for country of origin labelling, and to campaign against pesticides, GE, irradiation and synthetic additives.
Soil & Health’s Organic 2020 vision is of an organic New Zealand by the year 2020.
